Shin Min-a is said to be considering the lead role in the forthcoming drama titled The Remarried Empress. An insider from her agency, AM Entertainment, confirmed this news to Xports News on October 10, noting that the actress is currently evaluating the offer.
This drama draws inspiration from a well-loved romance and fantasy web novel, as well as a webtoon. The narrative follows Navier, an empress who opts for divorce after her husband attempts to replace her. Instead of succumbing to her circumstances, she aspires to reclaim her status as an empress in a different empire.

The Remarried Empress is adapted from the popular web novel by Alphatart, sharing the same title. The story revolves around Navier, portrayed as an ideal empress within a modern empire. Despite her remarkable qualities, the emperor announces his desire to replace her, stating that he prefers a spouse over a partner.
Eventually, he petitions for a divorce, choosing to be with his mistress. Navier tolerates this situation until she overhears the emperor vowing to give his new lover the title of the upcoming empress. After considerable reflection, Navier decides to take charge of her own fate. If she cannot remain empress, she aims to remarry the ruler of a neighboring nation.
Shin Min-a is reportedly under consideration for the role of Navier, the central character in this upcoming drama. True to the title, Navier initiates her journey by parting ways with her husband, Emperor Sovies of the Eastern Empire. The plot then traces her new path as she marries King Heinrey of the Western Kingdom.
Recently, Shin Min-a reestablished herself as the “queen of romantic comedy”through her role as Son Hae-young in the drama No Gain, No Love, which wrapped up on October 1.
