Although O’Neal was not a member of the Dream Team that dominated the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics, he did join the second version of the Dream Team in 1994 for the FIBA World Cup. During a recent episode of his show “The Big Podcast with Shaq,”O’Neal discussed the Dream Team. The retired LA Lakers player revealed that he was close to joining the original version of the renowned national team. He also expressed his belief that the ’94 team could have defeated the ’92 team.
“Dream Team 2 could’ve beaten Dream Team 1,”Shaq said.
