“SEVENTEEN and CARATs Bring the Heat: Band Lightens the Mood with a Joke After Concert Fire Incident”
On Saturday, October 12, SEVENTEEN kicked off their World Tour, titled Right Here, with a concert in Goyang, South Korea. The event largely unfolded without a hitch until a small fire ignited among the overhead light fixtures on stage. Once the staff noticed the flames, they promptly instructed the members to exit the stage. Fortunately, the fire was quickly contained by the crew.
Despite the swift response, the incident caused a cloud of smoke that affected fans seated closest to the stage. Numerous videos began circulating online, depicting fans attempting to disperse the smoke enveloping them. Many attendees expressed genuine concern about the potential for the fire to escalate.
Translation: “There seems to have been a problem at the Goyang concert,”a fan shared on X.
The small fire was situated at the top of the expansive stage where SEVENTEEN was performing. A courageous staff member managed to scale the railings filled with lighting equipment and extinguished the flames. This quick-thinking action was met with applause from the audience, and the situation was quickly resolved.
Shortly after, the SEVENTEEN members returned to the stage to check on their fans, known as CARATs, and address the incident. To lighten the mood, Hoshi began playfully singing about the situation. His lyrics included:
“SEVENTEEN and CARATs are so hot. No wonder we had a fire in here. No, no, it’s because of you ~ We are on fire ~! Everything’s going to be okay, no matter what. Anyway, it all passed by!”
Following this incident, the remainder of the concert proceeded without any further issues or threats.
