Halo 3 Xbox 360 Servers Gone Forever – Fans Share Tribute

Everything that has a beginning must come to an end. Well, it’s time for the Xbox Halo 3 servers to say goodbye.

January 13 was the last day to play Halo 3 and other classic Halo games for Xbox 360 online.

343 Industries is shutting down its original Xbox 360 servers as they prioritize new games.

It’s been a good run since Halo 3

It’s unclear what the future holds for the series, but it’s sure gamers will take away many fond memories of Halo 3 with them.

The game is currently backwards compatible with Xbox One and can be played on that console as well.

It may be goodbye to Halo 3, but all the more reason to give other equally good games a chance. Halo Infinite promises to quench your thirst if you give it a chance. Find out more about it in our detailed review and get started playing.

An outpouring of tribute

As with other games that had their online servers disabled, Halo 3 players took to the game’s message boards to share memories of their time playing the game.

Tributes are pouring in as we get closer to shutting down the Xbox 360 servers. Several fans have already taken to sites such as Twitter to share their favorite online gaming memories.

Scott Baker from twitter wanted to do one last run before the official server shutdown.

Tristan Todd had a few audio glitches at the eleventh hour, but we hope he had an epic last game.

Luke was a little sad to see Halo 3 go.

We hope the curtain falls on the Halo 3 Xbox 360 servers and you have your share of memories to remind you of the bliss that was.

In the meantime, it might be time to check out Halo Infinite’s multiplayer campaign for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and PC.
