“Select Your Pill and Sip Your Champagne” — Elisabeth Ovesen’s Insider Account of Alleged Diddy Party Experiences
In a revealing interview with The Daily Beast, Elisabeth Ovesen, author of Confessions of a Video Vixen, shared insights about her past encounters with Sean “Diddy” Combs. This article was published on September 25, just days after the rapper faced serious allegations of sex trafficking and racketeering and was held without bail.
The 46-year-old author described being presented to the hip-hop mogul as a “gift” and detailed the intense experiences at Diddy’s notorious “freak-offs” and lavish parties.

During the interview, Ovesen recalled that she was introduced to Diddy shortly after his breakup with Jennifer Lopez, at the age of 21, while going by Karrine Steffans. She recounted being instructed to meet him at his home during one of his extravagant gatherings.
Describing a party at Diddy’s Miami Star Island mansion—recently listed as bail collateral following his September 16 arrest—Ovesen noted the scene: men donned in tuxedos, women wearing angel wings, and synchronized swimmers performing outside while guests engaged in private activities in the bathrooms. Ovesen vividly expressed:
“You choose your pill, you take your champagne, and that’s your vibe for the night. It’s f**king intense.”
Ovesen has achieved notable success as a three-time New York Times Bestselling author, particularly recognized for her controversial book exposing various celebrities’ pursuits of money, power, and sex.
In her book, she revisits her relationships with numerous stars, including Vin Diesel, Fred Durst, Bobby Brown, Lil Wayne, and Method Man, while also detailing her experiences with DMX, Diddy, and Jay-Z.
Ovesen Recalls an Unforgettable Night with Diddy at a Queer Club
In another anecdote from her book, Ovesen reminisced about using ecstasy during an outing with Diddy and her friend, rapper Xzibit, at a queer club. Diddy allegedly remarked to Xzibit that she had the kind of presence that would get you filmed in compromising situations. Reflecting on this, Ovesen said:
“That was so weird. It was so weird. And X [Xzibit] thought it was weird. I mean… that’s a weird thing to say.”
Elisabeth Ovesen, also serving as the Chief Creative Officer of The Ovesen Company, asserted that Diddy is not alone in his misogyny; she noted that many men harbor a deep-seated animosity toward women. Ovesen stated:
“Men who hate women, men who hate who they are, who can’t admit to their sexuality, who are pretending to be straight when they’re not. And they hate women because they can’t. They don’t love women. Most of them want to be women, and they can’t, and they hate us. They beat us early and often.”
Ovesen further expressed her trauma from abusive relationships with the men in the music industry, mentioning her reaction to a video of Combs allegedly attacking his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. Discussing the footage, which shocked audiences worldwide, Ovesen admitted:
“I didn’t watch the whole thing. It was very triggering. And I knew exactly what that was. I knew exactly how that feels.”
While Combs awaits trial, an 11th accuser, Thalia Graves, has come forward, claiming that in 2001, both he and his bodyguard drugged, bound, and raped her, recording the incident in the process. As of the time of this article, the Bad Boy Records founder has denied the allegations.
