Sea of Thieves recently unveiled an exciting new trailer announcing the arrival of Season 15, set to debut on February 20. This forthcoming season promises to enrich the gaming experience with fresh content and the usual assortment of cosmetic enhancements for character and ship customization.
Season 14, known as “Making Mischief, ”kicked off on October 17, introducing players to a host of new mechanics, including crouching, hanging, and disguising. Furthermore, the update added three new weapons: the Grapple Gun, Traps, and the Blowpipe, each featuring unique ammunition such as black powder, poison, and bait darts. In addition to the innovative gameplay, players were treated to numerous events including the Festival of Giving and upgrades to outposts, alongside a variety of cosmetic items available through the Pirate Emporium.
Exciting Features Coming in Season 15
As anticipation builds towards Season 15, entitled “Wild Things, ”fans can expect significant additions. Among the highlights is the introduction of two intimidating sea monsters: the Megalodons, named Feared Redmaw and Barnacled Dread. The Feared Redmaw can inflict severe damage with a fiery bite and has the potential to detonate upon proximity, posing a grave threat to ships. Meanwhile, Barnacled Dread features an electrifying bite that not only damages vessels but also spawns Ocean Crawlers on players’ decks, amplifying the adventure’s challenge.
Another noteworthy enhancement in this season is the expansion of the Hunter’s Call trading company. Dedicated stores will now be available in the outposts, enabling players to operate as Hunter’s Call emissaries. This allows for engaging fishing trips, hunts, and raids, with rewarding opportunities through exclusive items. As in previous seasons, a new Plunder Pass featuring 100 reward tiers will also be introduced, along with additional wildlife encounters, such as seagulls and wild boars, enriching the game’s ecosystem.
This is an exciting time for both returning players and newcomers to Sea of Thieves.
