Sapphire’s Launch: PhantomLink Radeon RX 9000 GPUs and AM5 Nitro+ Motherboards
As the BTF ecosystem continues to evolve, Sapphire has emerged as a key player by introducing innovative solutions that utilize the cutting-edge PhantomLink connector featuring a robust 600W interface. This connector aligns with the standard used by ASUS across several BTF offerings, showcasing Sapphire’s commitment to enhancing compatibility within this high-performance ecosystem.

Sapphire’s PhantomLink lineup is anchored by two standout products: the Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+ graphics card and the Nitro+ X870EA Wi-Fi PhantomLink Edition motherboard.

The Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+ PhantomLink Edition boasts an impressive triple-fan cooling system, featuring a sleek gold design and achieving clock speeds of up to 3060 MHz. A unique element of this graphics card is its discreetly integrated 16-pin connector, hidden under a magnetic-backed plate, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality.

Turning to the motherboard, the Sapphire Nitro+ X870EA Wi-Fi PhantomLink Edition features an ATX form factor and is equipped with four DDR5 DIMM slots supporting a maximum capacity of 256 GB. Additional specifications include three PCIe slots—one PCIe 5.0 x16 and two PCIe 4.0 x4—along with four M.2 slots, two of which are Gen5 compliant. For storage, it also includes four SATA III slots.
The I/O panel of the motherboard is notably expansive, offering four USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, and one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port at the front. The rear panel features an impressive combination of two USB 2.0 ports, four USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, four USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, and two USB 4 Type-C ports, alongside a LAN port, two Wi-Fi antenna connectors, and dual audio jacks. Notably, a one-click Clear CMOS and flash BIOS functionality is also available at the rear I/O for enhanced usability.

In addition, Sapphire is diversifying its offerings with upcoming budget-conscious options within the B850 and B650 range. This lineup includes the Nitro+ B850M Wi-Fi, PULSE B850MP Wi-Fi, PULSE B650MP Wi-Fi, and a non-Wi-Fi variant, bringing the total new mainstream selections to six. Also showcased was the Radeon RX 9060 XT series, which will be available in the Nitro+ configuration without PhantomLink port and in the standard PULSE variant.

Lastly, the Sapphire Edge AI series features AMD’s cutting-edge Ryzen AI 300 series APUs, delivering up to 50 TOPS of AI performance. This mini PC boasts impressive specifications including 16 GB DDR5 memory, a 1 TB NVMe SSD, and a wealth of I/O ports, all supported by a compact 120W adapter. The unit measures a mere 117x111x30mm and includes a removable top, allowing easy access to internal memory and SSD upgrades of up to 96 GB and 4 TB, respectively. The tool-less magnetic cover simplifies the upgrade process for users.
Sapphire also hinted at the potential integration of discrete NPU cards to this mini PC, aimed at enhancing AI capabilities further, achieving an incredible boost to 130 TOPS of performance.
