Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and Tab S11 Debut with Sleek Design, AI Innovations, Dimensity 9400+ Processor, and Impressive 14.6-Inch Screens

Samsung has raised the bar for the premium tablet market with its latest Galaxy Tab S11 series. Officially launched, this lineup combines sleek aesthetics with powerful performance while integrating advanced AI capabilities. The series features two models: the standard Galaxy Tab S11 and the high-end Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, catering to a wide range of users, from casual tablet enthusiasts to professionals in need of top-notch specifications.

Introducing the Galaxy Tab S11 Series: Competing with the M4 iPad Pro

Leading the new series, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra stands out with its ultra-thin profile of just 5.1mm, comparable to the 13-inch iPad Pro outfitted with an M4 chip. Despite its slim design, it boasts a spacious 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display that provides an exceptional viewing experience. This display features a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, an anti-reflective surface, and a peak brightness of 1, 600 nits, making it ideal for streaming, creative work, or productivity in bright environments.

Under the hood, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra houses the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor, available with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. For those needing more space, there’s a microSD card slot that allows for expansion up to an impressive 2TB. While these specifications are noteworthy, the integration of Galaxy AI features into One UI 8 (based on Android 16) truly enhances user experience. This integration facilitates various functionalities, from summarizing documents to optimizing sketches and managing multitasking efficiently.

Battery performance is robust, with the Tab S11 Ultra capable of delivering up to 23 hours of video playback and supporting fast charging at 45W. Constructed for resilience, it features an Armor Aluminum frame and is IP68 rated for dust and water resistance. The S Pen has undergone refinements for improved ergonomics, sporting a lighter and hexagonal design for an enhanced grip. However, it’s worth noting that it lacks wireless charging capabilities, which may be a consideration for some users.

Galaxy Tab S11: Compact Yet Powerful

Alongside the Ultra model, Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Tab S11, which features an 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 2560 by 1600. This model also supports a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1, 600 nits, while remaining impressively thin at just 5.5mm. Powered by the same MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset, it offers enhanced performance with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage, also expandable to 2TB via a microSD card.

The smaller tablet is equipped with a substantial 8, 400mAh battery, providing up to 18 hours of video playback and also supports fast charging at 45W. Like its bigger counterpart, it maintains durability with an Armor Aluminum construction and IP68 dust and water resistance. Both tablets are equipped with the improved S Pen and feature Samsung’s DeX support, allowing users to connect to an external display, mouse, or keyboard for a full desktop experience.

Pricing and Availability

Samsung has committed to offering 7 years of OS and security updates, ensuring longevity for both devices. The Galaxy Tab S11 starts at a competitive price of $799.99 for the base model, while the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra begins at $1, 199. Both models will be available starting September 4 in select markets, featuring color options in Grey and Silver.
