Samsung Galaxy A12 receives Android 12 update in India

Last month, Samsung released a new Android 12 update based on One UI 4.1 for the Galaxy A12 Nacho. Now the firm has started rolling out a new update for the vanilla Galaxy A12. The update is rolling out in India with many new features, improvements and fixes. Read on to find out more about the Android 12 update for the Samsung Galaxy A12.

The Samsung Galaxy A12 was launched with One UI 3.1 based on Android 11 in India. Now it’s time for the first major update. A new firmware is being released with software version number A127FXXU5BVF2. At the time of writing, the update was available to some users in India, with a wider rollout to follow shortly. It also increases the June 2022 security patch monthly version from March 2022.

Samsung is releasing the One UI 4.1 update for the Galaxy A12 with features such as new widgets, very smooth animations when opening and closing apps, a redesigned quick access bar, automatic dark mode for wallpapers, icons and illustrations, a new charging animation, and more.     • Camera and microphone indicators: keep away from prying eyes and ears. A green dot will appear in the top right corner of the screen when an app is using the camera or microphone. You can also use the quick controls on the panel to temporarily block all apps from using your camera or microphone.
    • Approximate Location: Keep your exact location private. You can set up apps that don’t need to know exactly where you are in order to only have access to your general area.
    • Clipboard Protection: Keep your passwords, credit card numbers and other sensitive information safe. You can receive alerts every time an application accesses content copied to the clipboard in another application.
