Samsung Expected to Release Flip FE and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic Later This Year, According to Industry Database

As Samsung prepares for its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event in January 2025, speculation is already swirling around its mid-year product launches. Among the most talked-about is the anticipated Galaxy Z Flip FE, which aims to provide a budget-friendly alternative for those interested in foldable technology. Recent findings in a database have bolstered these rumors, indicating that this new model is indeed in development. Also hinted at in the same database is the likely return of the Galaxy Watch8 Classic, set to debut alongside the foldable device.

Exciting Developments: Galaxy Z Flip FE and Galaxy Watch8 Classic in the Pipeline

Samsung has long been at the forefront of foldable device innovation. However, the company faces stiff competition as more manufacturers enter this burgeoning market. In response, Samsung seems poised to reinforce its leadership by introducing the double-foldable Galaxy Z Flip and preparing an FE (Fan Edition) variant of its popular Flip model.

Although speculation about the Galaxy Z Flip FE has been ongoing, a recent discovery in the GSMA database has confirmed its development. According to an article from Smartprix, this new device will cater to consumers seeking a more economical foldable option, aligning with Samsung’s strategy to broaden its consumer base.

Listed in the database as model number SM-F761B, the ‘B’ signifies that this foldable device will be a global version, making it accessible to users internationally. The database also suggests that the Galaxy Watch8 Classic could be returning to the market after a hiatus of one year—a product that remains a favorite among Samsung’s wearable technology lineup. This smartwatch is expected to blend a classic design with advanced functionalities, appealing to both traditional watch enthusiasts and tech-savvy consumers. Its model number, SM-L505U, has also been noted in the data.

This forthcoming Galaxy Z Flip FE stands out as the first affordable foldable model from Samsung, which has previously launched FE versions of its flagship smartphones. Powered by the Exynos 2400 SoC chipset, expectations are that it will be unveiled during Samsung’s second Galaxy Unpacked event, anticipated for August, where it is expected to be a major highlight.

Committed to innovation, Samsung continues to adapt to market demands, and we eagerly await further details on the exciting products currently in development.
