Bandai Namco has officially announced that the highly anticipated DLC, featuring Sachi and Philia from the Sword Art Online universe, is set to launch between April and June 2025. Players can look forward to their debut on April 24, 2025, as part of the Worlds Beyond 3 expansion.
Character Profiles: Sachi and Philia
Sachi, a character introduced during the original story arc, returns as a Supporter in this installment, wielding her trademark spear. As a former member of the Moonlit Black Cats guild, Sachi’s journey intersects with Kirito’s past in Aincrad. For those who are unfamiliar, her trailer provides insights that may contain spoilers. The talented Saori Hayami reprises her role as the voice of Sachi.
On the other hand, Philia has a stronger resonance with players due to her recurring presence in various Sword Art Online games, starting from Hollow Fragment. Though she made her initial appearance in the original series, she has featured in every major title, including Project Alicization. As a Rogue in this DLC, players can anticipate familiar gameplay elements. The character is voiced by Yui Ishikawa, ensuring continuity in her portrayal.
What to Expect in Worlds Beyond 3 DLC
In addition to the introduction of Sachi and Philia, the Worlds Beyond 3 expansion will feature a new scenario that ties in with both characters.
