Sabrina Carpenter Responds to TikTok Claim of Not Singing Live on Tour: “Would You Like to Speak to My Audio Engineers?”

Sabrina Carpenter is currently on her Short n’ Sweet tour, but recent claims have surfaced regarding whether the singer performs live during her concerts. In a viral TikTok video, a user captured a moment where Sabrina sings “Please Please Please,”but takes a spin and holds the microphone away for a few seconds, while the backing track continues to play.

This TikTok user suggested that Sabrina’s performances consist of 30% lip-syncing, 30% using a backing track, and 40% actual singing. Another user echoed this sentiment, questioning the authenticity of Sabrina’s live performances. In response to these allegations, Sabrina Carpenter engaged with the TikTok post, stating:

“I sing live every show 100% would you like to speak to my audio engineers.”

Her emphatic response has sparked considerable support on social media, with fans sharing a clearer version of the original video to highlight that the voices in the background are backup singers, reinforcing that Sabrina indeed sings live.

“Should we talk about how I got the mayor indicted?”- Sabrina Carpenter comments on the Feather video and Eric Adams’ indictment

On September 29, 2024, Sabrina Carpenter took the stage at Madison Square Garden in New York, where fans informed her about the news of New York Mayor Eric Adams pleading not guilty to five felony charges, including conspiracy, wire fraud, and bribery. These charges stem from allegations that he accepted over $100,000 in illegal gifts in exchange for purportedly aiding the government of Turkey.

Footage from Sabrina’s New York concert shows her reacting to the shocking news by saying:

“Damn, what now? Should we talk about how I got the mayor indicted?”

The connection between Sabrina and Mayor Adams’ indictment relates to her Feather music video, filmed at Brooklyn’s Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Annunciation Parish Church in Williamsburg. This video resulted in the church leader, Monsignor Jamie Gigantiello, being demoted and stripped of his administrative roles for approving the shooting location of Sabrina’s video.

Following the exposure from Sabrina’s video, federal investigators began looking into the ties between Gigantiello and Frank Carone, who was Eric Adams’ former chief of staff. Additionally, the investigators also issued subpoenas to the church to uncover any business or financial connections between Gigantiello and Carone that may relate to the shooting of Sabrina Carpenter’s video, as reported by Billboard.

The diocese officials commented in a statement:

“It would be inappropriate to comment further on that review, which is still ongoing. The Diocese is fully committed to cooperating with law enforcement in all investigations, including conduct at individual parishes or involving any priest.”

In other news, Sabrina Carpenter is on her first arena tour and fifth concert tour, following her studio album Short n’ Sweet. The tour kicked off in Columbus, United States, on September 23, 2024, and is set to conclude in Milan, Italy, on March 26, 2025.

Moreover, Sabrina recently made headlines by skipping the Nonsense outro during the opening concert of the Short n’ Sweet tour. While numerous fans and media outlets have inquired if she plans to discontinue the outros, Sabrina has yet to provide a comment on the matter.
