Oleksandr “s1mple”Kostyliev is reportedly making his much-anticipated return to the competitive gaming scene. After being away for over a year, with his last appearance predating the release of CS2, the rumors are swirling about s1mple’s comeback. However, it’s important to note that he will not be rejoining the NAVI roster.

Following a year of inactivity, the NAVI star is set to make his return at a LAN event, but this time with a different organization. According to a recent report from HLTV, s1mple will be loaned to Falcons for the Perfect World Shanghai Major Europe RMR. The new Falcons roster was officially locked in on September 22, 2024.

As he joins the Falcons, the three-time Player of the Year will take the place of Alvaro “SunPayus”Garcia on the main roster. Interestingly, s1mple made his CS2 debut with the Falcons at the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown, though it ended in a defeat against Metizport.

The roster for the new Falcons team is as follows:

  • Marco ‘Snappi‘ Pfeiffer
  • Peter ‘dupreeh‘ Rasmussen
  • Emil ‘ Magic ‘ Reif
  • Pavle ‘ Maden ‘ Boskovic
  • Oleksandr ‘ s1mple ‘ Kostyliev (loan)
  • Danny ‘zonic‘ Sorensen (coach)
  • Alvaro ‘SunPayus‘ Garcia (benched)

The addition of the CS2 star is eagerly anticipated as the Falcons have struggled with their performance throughout the season, often exiting tournaments during the group stages. The last significant achievement for the team was a semi-final run at IEM Katowice 2024, which rewarded them with $80,000.

Now, with the return of the three-time Player of the Year, all eyes will be on s1mple to see how he performs after his year-long hiatus from competitive play.
