The remaining four queens in the running for the RuPaul’s Drag Race season 16 crown are Plane Jane, Nymphia Wind, Q, and Sapphira Cristál. In the previous episode, Morphine Dion Love was eliminated, leaving only four competitors remaining.

The sixteenth season, which debuted on January 5, has showcased the queens’ diverse talents in areas such as dancing, singing, fashion, comedy, and acting. In 2024, the top four competitors will battle it out for the coveted title of ‘America’s Next Drag Superstar’ and a grand prize of $200,000.

The four top queens of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 16

1) The Power of Nymphia

Nymphia, who was born on July 23, 1995, quickly gained popularity for her impressive performance on the show. Throughout her time on the competition, she wowed viewers with her exceptional singing abilities, winning 2 mini and 2 maxi challenges. Her incredible talent also earned her multiple mini prizes.

This Taiwanese-American drag queen has flown quietly under the radar and made it to the finals. She has never landed in the bottom two nor participated in the top 2 lip-sync battles, which occurred in episodes one, two, and ten of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 16. Her performances have consistently impressed the judges, giving her a strong chance of winning.

2) Basic Betty

Born on February 4, 1998, to Russian-Jewish American parents, Plane Jane shares a similar success story to Nymphia. Just like Nymphia, she has triumphed in 4 maxi challenges and 1 mini-challenge, securing her spot in the competition.

Despite only appearing in one lip-sync battle on episode 2 of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 16, Plane Jane proved her mastery in the competition and solidified her chances of winning. Her subsequent absence in any further lip-sync battles was due to consistently securing top spots in various challenges.

3) Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Born on August 22, 1996, Q is a native of Kansas City. Her performances have always been captivating, which is why she made it to the finals. Q is the epitome of a perfect drag queen and has won two maxi challenges during season 16 of RuPaul’s Drag Race with her attention-grabbing acts.

In the first episode of the show, Q’s exceptional lip-sync abilities were showcased as she competed against Sapphira Cristal for the top spot. However, in episode 5, Q found herself in the bottom two for the first time, unlike the previous two queens. Despite this, her lip-sync skills proved strong enough to keep her safe, resulting in Amanda Tori Meating’s elimination. From then on, Q never landed in the bottom two again.

4) The Life and Legacy of Sapphira Cristál

Sapphira Cristál, born on September 27, 1988, possesses a natural talent for drag that is evident in all of her performances. This is proven by her success in making it to the top 2 lip-syncs in episodes one and ten, showcasing her effortless approach to drag.

Despite having a successful track record with four maxi and three mini-challenges wins, Sapphira faced her first time in the bottom two during the latest episode 13 of the show. Despite this, she managed to outshine Morphine Dion Love and secure a spot in the top 4. In addition, she also emerged victorious in both top 2 lip-sync battles.

New episodes of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 16 will continue to be broadcasted every Friday at 8 pm ET on MTV.
