RUN JIN Episode 11: BTS’ Jin Battles Spirits to Lift the Curse and Return Home
Dressed in traditional Joseon attire, Jin entered the scene at the Korean Folk Village, the chosen setting for this episode.
The episode began with Jin being introduced to his bodyguard, who handed him a scroll containing the rules of the challenge. To break the curse, Jin must uncover five straw dolls while avoiding man-eating spirits and not look back, regardless of the events that unfold.
Jin embarked on his haunting journey. Shortly after, a ghostly woman appeared before him. Initially taken aback, Jin quickly noticed her sorrow and inquired about her tears. He humorously commented on her holding a tissue box, questioning its historical relevance during the Joseon era.
The ghost then challenged him to a game called ‘blow the tissue,’ where the objective was to keep the tissue in the air the longest. Although Jin lost the first round, he triumphed in the second, humorously instructing the ghost to clean up the tissues as he proceeded to the next challenge.
As Jin moved on, he encountered another ghost, the Grim Reaper, who instructed him to draw her portrait on a whiteboard. Jin showcased his artistic skills with a humorous sketch which granted him passage to the next level.
Next, BTS’ Jin faced yet another spirit who invited him to play a game of Twister. In this game, participants must balance while stepping on colored circles and following an opponent’s commands.
This challenge became a memorable moment as Jin’s cleverness and tenacity led him to victory, earning him a clue on paper regarding the location of the straw dolls.
Jin then found himself at the lair of the flesh-eating ghosts, the last stop in his quest to locate the five straw dolls and lift the curse. The clues he held included: Black fan, Under the red light, Help, When you hear chopping, and Exit. He needed these hints to uncover the dolls.
Facing a variety of frightful ghosts at each turn, Jin was terrified upon entering the first room, which revealed a gruesome scene. Nevertheless, he urged his bodyguard to stay by his side for support.
While searching for the straw dolls, a famished ghost suddenly lunged for his leg, giving Jin quite a scare. In response, he quickly grabbed the doll and dashed to the next location.
Another comedic highlight unfolded when one ghost trailed behind Jin as if acting as his guardian while he cautiously proceeded after securing the first doll. He jumped in fright as more spirits emerged from the walls and ceilings.
The unsettling sound of chopping echoed, marking the fourth clue. Jin successfully followed the ghostly figure of an old woman engaged in her brutal task and found the doll nearby.
Eventually, Jin uncovered his last clue, Exit, successfully locating all five dolls and making his way back to 2024. After his intense adventure, he was visibly drenched in sweat. A brief concluding clip featured the actors portraying the ghosts discussing their experience with the BTS star.
The last segment indicated that BTS’ Jin’s RUN JIN will take a brief hiatus, with no new episodes scheduled to release next Tuesday until further announcements from the talented Epiphany singer.
