As MediaTek prepares for the upcoming release of its Dimensity 9500 chip next year, it is set to rival Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2. This latest System on Chip (SoC) will utilize TSMC’s advanced 3nm ‘N3P’ process for production, marking a significant milestone in semiconductor technology. Though detailed specifications have remained largely undisclosed until now, recent insights suggest a noteworthy change from previous generations, particularly the Dimensity 9400.
Anticipated ‘2 + 6′ CPU Architecture
The Dimensity 9500 is likely to feature a ‘2 + 6′ CPU architecture, akin to that of the current Snapdragon 8 Elite. This configuration comprises two high-performance cores and six energy-efficient counterparts, and there have been previous discussions hinting at this similarity.
