Roman Reigns stuns fans by revealing the smallest crowd he has ever wrestled in front of
Despite consistently headlining sold-out arenas worldwide, Roman Reigns shocked fans when he disclosed the smallest crowd he has ever performed in front of.
Despite being born into a family of wrestlers, Roman Reigns had to work his way up by performing in front of small audiences and earning only a small amount per match. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he was questioned about his journey to becoming a part of record-breaking sold-out shows, such as the recent RAW before WrestleMania 40.
Reigns proceeded to share his humble origins, shocking those listening with the fact that the smallest audience he had ever performed for was only two people.
“Oh gosh. Well, it could have been anywhere. We did it in a parking lot, a used cars parking lot, or it could have been in a fairground. The lightest show I’ve ever done was two people, just two people. It got so bad that I was asking people for requests. Like ‘What do you want to see?’, ‘Do you want me to bodyslam him?’. It’s been bad but we’re in a really, really good place right now.”(2:54-3:24)

Roman Reigns poised to shatter WrestleMania record at 40th anniversary event
Roman Reigns has headlined WrestleMania a total of seven times during his career. The current record for the most WrestleMania main events is held by Hulk Hogan, who has headlined the show of shows eight times throughout his career.
According to the most recent reports, on WrestleMania Saturday, Reigns has the potential to equal his current record of seven main events. However, on Sunday, he will surpass this 31-year-old record by participating in his ninth WrestleMania main event, where he will go head-to-head with Cody Rhodes.
Although some may argue that the two-night format has given Reigns an advantage, this is the first instance since its reintroduction in 2020 that he has been the main event for two consecutive nights.
It can also be argued that Hulk Hogan’s last appearance as the main event at WrestleMania in 1993 cannot be considered legitimate, as he placed himself in a match against Yokozuna and emerged victorious within thirty seconds.
Regardless, The Tribal Chief’s achievement of this record is sure to bring joy to many, despite some controversy surrounding his main event appearances from 2015 to 2018.
