Roman Reigns addresses criticisms and haters in the WWE Universe
Despite the Tribal Chief’s record-breaking title reign, wrestling fans have had mixed emotions. Many have grown to dislike him due to his extended run as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, which has been accompanied by very few TV appearances.
In a recent appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, Roman Reigns offered insight into why the WWE Universe may not have a favorable opinion of him. The Head of the Table stated that the fans’ dislike for him could be attributed to their ignorance.
Reigns also asserted that the opinion of the fans holds little importance to him as long as the wrestling promotion continues to thrive financially:
“I am going to give you my simple truth, but people can be stupid. You know what I mean? Let them do what they want. It’s fine. It’s worked out great. We’re not complaining at all. The checks are crazy & they keep coming in, so we’ll keep doing what we do & we don’t care what they think because it’s the truth. I put my family on my back, the company on my back & why not share the spotlight & why not make everybody better & these four years are a testament to it,” he said.
At The Show of Shows next weekend, Roman Reigns is set to participate in two matches. On the first night, he will join forces with The Rock to face off against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in a tag team match. Then, on the second night, The Tribal Chief will put his title on the line in a rematch against The American Nightmare, replicating their championship showdown from WrestleMania 39.
Will Roman Reigns continue his championship reign or will Cody Rhodes finish his journey on The Grandest Stage of Them All? Share your thoughts!
