Roman Reigns seemingly reveals what will happen if Cody Rhodes defeats him at WrestleMania XL
WWE Superstar Roman Reigns has recently dropped a major clue about his near future.
A&E has unveiled a documentary featuring The Tribal Chief, in which he discusses a wide range of topics such as his status as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
During the documentary, Roman Reigns dropped a major clue about his future in the WWE. He confirmed that he will be facing Cody Rhodes for the title on Night Two of WrestleMania XL and stated that he has no interest in staying with the company if he is not their top star.
“If I’m not the top guy, then I don’t wanna be here.”
Roman Reigns: The Reigning King of WWE for Four Years
Following his comeback as a villain at SummerSlam 2020, Roman Reigns formed an alliance with his previous adversary Paul Heyman. Reigns later claimed the Universal championship at Payback 2020, a title that he continues to hold. Throughout the last four years, he has emerged victorious against the top contenders in the industry.
In a conversation with Uproxx Sports, Paul Heyman discussed Reigns’ iconic reign as WWE’s primary champion. This is what he shared:
“It’s an uncompromising pursuit of relevancy and greatness together at the same time, at all costs,” Heyman said. “We’re going to propel this industry into the future and innovate and do things that have never been done before while respecting the past. That level of respect for the culture, of the roads paved before us, and the desire to pave new roads that others will follow is unlike anyone I’ve ever met.” (H/T Uproxx Sports)
If Reigns’ statement is accurate, he may no longer desire to be a part of WWE if he loses his championship to Cody Rhodes at ‘Mania. The future will reveal whether The Tribal Chief’s remarkable reign as the company’s top star comes to an end.
