Road to Kingdom: Episode 5 Recap – Elimination Insights, Group Rankings, Ace Rankings, and More

On Thursday, October 17, the fifth episode of Road to Kingdom: Ace of Ace was released, showcasing various performances from the competing K-pop boy bands. The previous episode unveiled details regarding the second evaluation round of this survival reality show. Dubbed the Identity Mission, this round challenges the groups to perform popular tracks from their own discography.

The twist, however, lies in the execution, where groups must deliver their songs in a format that diverges from their usual style. This aspect encourages the K-pop boy bands to reveal their unique artistry and win votes from fans. Unlike previous rounds, this phase mandates the participation of two ace members who will go head-to-head in an Ace Battle.

Each competition round comprises a Team Battle as well as an Ace Battle. Below is a compilation of the songs selected by the participating groups along with their respective chosen ace members:

After the airing of the fifth episode, all team and ace performances were disclosed. A cumulative score was calculated, which accumulated points earned by each group from their team and ace battles. As a result of this scoring, the group that finished last, ranked seventh, was eliminated. Consequently, THE NEW SIX was officially withdrawn from Road to Kingdom: Ace of Ace.

Eliminations in Road to Kingdom: Ace of Ace are determined based on a tally of the rankings from both the team and ace competitions. Typically, if the lowest ranks are not assigned to the same group, then the two lowest-ranked teams face off in a final ace battle. The group that scores less in this battle gets eliminated. However, since The New Six finished last in both areas, they were directly eliminated without needing an additional ace battle.
