Riot Games has officially revealed the launch date for the early access version of its highly anticipated fighting game, 2XKO. PC players will be able to dive into the action starting October 7, coinciding with the conclusion of the ongoing Closed Beta.

Each season will introduce a new champion, ranked resets, and a Battle Pass, keeping the game fresh and engaging for players. Furthermore, Riot is committed to fostering a vibrant competitive scene by sponsoring 22 community-run tournaments in 2025 as part of its First Impact Program. The first of these events will kick off at EVO France from October 10-12, offering additional rewards for duo team winners.

From Project L to 2XKO

Originally known as Project L, 2XKO is the brainchild of the Cannon brothers, renowned for their work on the acclaimed fighting game Rising Thunder. The name change was confirmed in February 2024, alongside an announcement for a broader 2025 launch intended for both PC and consoles. Although it appears that console players will have to wait, the early access launch is poised to deliver a thrilling experience for PC users.

2XKO is a unique, free-to-play 2v2 fighting game featuring beloved champions from League of Legends.
