The latest episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County (RHOC), season 18, episode 14, premiered on Thursday, October 10, 2024. This installment featured the housewives in London, yet Shannon’s ongoing issues with her ex, John Janssen, affected her interactions with the group.
During dinner, one cast member inquired about Shannon’s current lawsuit, to which she responded that she couldn’t discuss it in detail. Tamra Judge recalled Shannon’s recent appearance on the Jeff Lewis podcast, where she recounted her situation for an entire hour. At that time, she expressed uncertainty about whether John could have heard the car crash that led to her DUI last year.
This led Heather to reflect on a past conversation with Shannon in Sonoma, where Shannon had shared a bloodied photograph from the incident. Heather conveyed that she felt “used”by Shannon, believing that Shannon had exploited her for dramatic effect on camera.
Fans of RHOC took to social media to express their disapproval of Heather’s actions, labeling her as a poor friend. One user wrote on X:
“Wow, Heather, that was LOW. Shannon confided in you and showed you a personal picture, and look how you responded. That is seriously low-class behavior from someone who is usually so refined.”
“I don’t get why @HeatherDubrow is claiming @ShannonBeador is lying when she doesn’t have her facts straight. She needs to get her husband to clear those ears out… Shannon NEVER said that, Heather. Quit twisting her words!”one fan commented.
“Heather, I’m so let down! Who needs enemies when you have friends like Tamra dragging you down? Sure, Shannon is calculated, but you’re the one caught on a hot mic asking your husband not to correct you on camera? Really?”another tweet exclaimed.
Viewers branded Heather as “performative”this season:
“If anything has shocked me this season, it’s how @kellydleventhal has been absolutely RIGHT about her commentary on Tamra and Heather. Just soulless, performative, evil clowns. Shannon, PLEASE give them a piece of your mind at the reunion,”one commenter shared.
“Heather, you’ve really let me down. It’s ridiculous to side with Public Enemy Number One and Jesus Jugs against Shannon. I expected more from you,”a fan lamented.
“Heather… this is disappointing. You’ve allowed Tamra to influence you. Shannon approached you with trust and friendship,”someone tweeted.
Fans continued to voice their opinions on RHOC season 18:
“There ought to be a Housewives popularity ranking that changes episode by episode! From what I’m seeing, Heather’s is crashing while Tamra’s is probably below zero for this scene. Gina and Jen’s ratings are definitely on the rise,”one viewer noted.
“Heather is my favorite, but siding with Tamra regarding John and the lawsuit… no way,”a fan remarked.
“I felt manipulated”— Heather expresses her feelings towards Shannon
In episode 14 of The Real Housewives of Orange County, titled “High Tea & High Tension,”Tamra brought up Shannon’s recent radio show discussion with Jeff Lewis concerning her lawsuit. Shannon clarified that she had consulted with her attorney prior to discussing the issue and had never considered the possibility that John hadn’t heard the crash.
Reflecting on the chat in Sonoma, Heather expressed her distress over Shannon’s public acknowledgment of the “disturbing”photo they had discussed privately. Heather felt upset that Shannon chose to revisit that conversation on a public platform.
Heather recounted how Shannon had expressed uncertainty about John’s awareness of the accident, as Shannon mentioned that she could never truly know. Heather critiqued Shannon’s emotional tone while speaking with Jeff Lewis.
“It made me feel manipulated,”Heather confessed.
Other RHOC cast members, including Jenn and Emily, expressed their disappointment in Heather’s remarks. Gina also shared her critical views with Heather.
Fans have echoed similar sentiments, condemning Heather Dubrow’s actions and questioning her loyalty as a friend.
