AMD has unveiled the Radeon RX 9060 8 GB GPU, which has recently been tested and has shown remarkable performance, outperforming the RTX 5050 in Full HD gaming, all at an attractive price point of $250.
AMD’s Radeon RX 9060 8 GB Is a Standout Entry-Level GPU for FHD Gaming
The Radeon RX 9060 Non-XT GPU received its first thorough review from Technosaurus, highlighting its potential as an excellent entry-level graphics card suited for gamers. Officially announced just last week, this GPU has entered the market quietly, yet its capabilities are resonating with the gaming community.

Specifications Summary
Let’s examine the key specifications of the RX 9060. This GPU utilizes the Navi 48 architecture and belongs to the RDNA 4 series, ensuring robust ray tracing and AI performance, as well as compatibility with FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 (FSR 4).It boasts 28 compute units, translating to 1792 stream processors and 56 AI accelerators, while the more powerful RX 9060 XT comes with 32 compute units, 2048 stream processors, and 64 AI accelerators. Both variants maintain a 64 ROP count and 112 texture mapping units (TMUs), with clock speeds reaching up to 3.0 GHz on select models.
The RX 9060 is equipped with 32 MB of Infinity Cache and comes with 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM, achieving pin speeds of 18 Gbps across a 128-bit bus, facilitating a bandwidth of up to 288 GB/s. Unlike the RX 9060 XT, which offers a 16 GB version, this model is exclusively available in the 8 GB configuration.
Powering this graphics card are a single 8-pin connector and a total board power (TBP) of 132W. Notably, AMD has indicated that the RX 9060 will primarily be available through OEM partners and system integrators, limiting direct sales to consumers and making acquisition a challenge for DIY enthusiasts. The Sapphire Pulse model utilized in testing showcases a compact, dual-slot design with dual-fan cooling.

Performance Insights
When tested across various Full HD titles with all settings maxed, the RX 9060 8 GB consistently delivered over 60 FPS, significantly outpacing the RTX 5050 8 GB by an average of 20%.In demanding games such as Red Dead Redemption 2, the RX 9060 demonstrated performance that was more than double that of its competitor.

In head-to-head comparisons against the RX 9060 XT 8 GB and the RTX 5060 8 GB, the RX 9060 maintained competitive performance, showing only a slight margin behind the RTX 5050 and RX 9060 XT—2% and 6%, respectively. Given that the RX 9060 comes at a more affordable price, its value proposition is particularly strong.

Pricing and Availability
Current pricing indicates that the AMD Radeon RX 9060 8 GB will retail for approximately 350, 000 to 390, 000 Korean Won, translating to roughly $250-$280. The base model is priced at $250, while premium configurations may reach $280. This competitive pricing allows the RX 9060 to edge out the more expensive RTX 5060 and RX 9060 XT models while being 20-30% faster than the RTX 5050 8 GB.
Despite its impressive specifications, the RX 9060 remains a low-volume product, potentially complicating acquisition for interested gamers.
