The anime adaptation of Toilet-bound Hanako-kun was initially announced in March 2019, with its first season airing in January 2020. In addition to the main series, there was a special adaptation titled After-School Hanako-kun that aired from October 13 to November 3, 2023, also produced by Lerche.
