Remedy Entertainment has been diligently crafting a connected universe of supernatural games, with one of the standout titles being Alan Wake 2. This 2023 survival horror game marks the much-anticipated return of the haunted writer after a long 13-year hiatus. Recently, Remedy shared its latest sales achievements for Alan Wake 2 alongside updates on its ongoing projects.
Sales Success of Alan Wake 2
The sales data was disclosed in the company’s most recent financial report, released today. Impressively, Alan Wake 2 surpassed the milestone of two million copies sold by 2025, showcasing its strong market performance. Additionally, the game, published by Epic Games, has not only generated profits but has also started to yield royalties for Remedy, successfully recovering its extensive development and marketing costs. This successful financial moment coincided with the release of the game’s second and final expansion, The Lake House.
Progress on Control 2
In exciting news for fans, Control 2 has officially entered full production as of this month. Remedy confirmed that they have established a solid production framework, including accelerated asset creation and optimized production pipelines. Scheduled for release in 2025, the game is currently undergoing closed technical testing.
Lastly, the highly anticipated remakes of Max Payne 1 and 2 are also progressing well, with the studio indicating that full production is on track. Although published by Rockstar Games, an official release window for the remakes has yet to be announced.
