REMATCH, the latest offering from the creators of Sifu, Slocap, is fundamentally designed as a team sport.
While players can engage in solo matches by teaming up with random participants, this approach often leads to a lack of coordination and teamwork. Success in REMATCH hinges on a collaborative effort, as players assume roles such as strikers, defenders, or goalkeepers.
There’s nothing quite as disheartening as executing a pivotal save, followed by a perfect assist, only to find that your teammate isn’t aligned with your strategy. This highlights the importance of playing with friends for a more rewarding experience.
At the moment, cross-platform play among PC, PlayStation, and Xbox isn’t supported. However, players can still connect with friends on the same platform before heading onto the field.
For those on PC, it’s important to note that both Steam and Game Pass PC users are unable to play together, as they must be on the same platform to team up effectively.
Inviting Friends to Your Party

From the main menu, you can easily assemble a party with your friends. The social tab, conveniently located in the upper right corner of the interface, allows you to invite players to your lobby.

Access your friends list and select one of the available slots to send an invitation. For instance, if you want to invite your friend “Rob, ”simply click their name to include them in your party. Additionally, you can invite players you’ve recently battled with in previous matches.
Playing Custom and Private Games with Friends

In REMATCH, there’s much more to enjoy than just Quick Matches when playing with friends. You can create custom and private games, offering the opportunity for teammates to battle each other in a more relaxed setting.
This low-pressure environment is a great way to hone your skills compared to the intense nature of Quick Match or Ranked Play. To establish a custom game, simply select the “Custom Game”option from the main menu.
This selection leads you to a new menu where you can either set up a new lobby or join existing games by entering a game code.
When crafting a custom match, you can define several parameters, including the maximum number of participants on each team, ranging from 0 to 5 players. You can also designate the allowable number of spectators for the match, again, between 0 and 5.
For privacy, all custom games can be set up with an optional game code, ensuring that only those with the code can join. While this isn’t mandatory, it provides a solid way to restrict access to your matches to just friends.
To enter a custom game, make sure to obtain the appropriate game code from the host.
Remember, you can still return to the main menu and participate in Freeplay while in a custom game lobby.
