Regian Eersel vows to combat Alexis Nicolas’ aggression with ‘some weird combinations’: “I’ll be just doing my thing”
As he prepares for his 11th fight with ONE Championship, Regian Eersel, the two-sport champion, has left no stone unturned in his training.
Therefore, he guarantees to showcase his exceptional skills as he defends his lightweight kickboxing gold against unbeaten French striker Alexis Nicolas in the headline bout of ONE Fight Night 21. The event will be televised live from Bangkok’s Lumpinee Boxing Stadium on April 5.
During an interview with CountFilms TV in Thailand, Regian Eersel disclosed his thoughts:
“I think my conditioning and my pressure, my pressure fighting forward [could be the difference] in this fight.”
When inquired about a potential strategy to win the game, the Sityodtong Amsterdam representative highlighted his continuous forward pressure and exceptional striking skills as the key elements to maintain his unbeaten record on the global stage.
The individual known as ‘The Immortal’ proceeded to include:
“I will always fight, you know, putting the pressure on, make him tired, doing some weird combinations, and I’ll be just doing my thing.”

“I hope so [I can finish him], but I cannot look in the future. I’m never saying I’m going to finish the guy or something. I know it’s going to be a hard fight, but let’s hope I will finish it, yeah.”
