
Yeri of Red Velvet in Talks with Blitzway Studio Following Departure from SM Entertainment
Kim Ye-rim, widely recognized as Yeri from the popular K-pop group Red Velvet, is rumored to be negotiating an exclusive management contract with Blitzway Studio. This speculation arises shortly after her exit from SM Entertainment, marking a significant shift in her career trajectory.

The transition comes in the wake of SM Entertainment’s announcement regarding the expiration of exclusive contracts for Yeri and fellow member Wendy on April 4. While both artists will continue to be part of Red Velvet’s group activities, their individual paths are poised for exciting new opportunities.
Potential Partnership with Blitzway Studio
As per multiple reports, Blitzway Studio is actively discussing a potential partnership with Yeri. Notably recognized for managing distinguished South Korean talents, including Ju Ji Hoon and Moon Chae Won, Blitzway has confirmed the dialogue but has withheld specific details about the contract.
“It is true that we met with Yeri, ”a representative from Blitzway Studio commented.
A Flourishing Career
Yeri made her debut as the youngest member of Red Velvet in 2015 with the extended play Ice Cream Cake. Since then, she has diversified her career, expanding into hosting and songwriting. She began as an MC for MBC’s “Show! Music Core”and later took the reins of her own reality-variety show, “Yeri’s Room, ”in 2020.
Her songwriting journey began in 2017 when she contributed to the track “Story”for Ragoon’s EP Talking. Yeri further demonstrated her creative versatility by co-writing rap portions for Red Velvet’s chart-topping hit “Red Flavor.”
Acting Aspirations
In 2021, Yeri took a leap into acting with her inaugural role in tvN’s anthology series “Drama Stage – Mint Condition.”This marked the beginning of her acting career, followed by notable performances in web dramas like “Blue Birthday”and “BITCH X RICH.”In “BITCH X RICH, ”she portrayed Baek Je Na, a character embroiled in high-stakes drama among privileged high-school students. The series gained immense popularity, leading to the greenlighting of Season 2, expected to premiere in 2025, where Yeri will reprise her lead role.
Upcoming Projects
Yeri is also preparing for her much-anticipated big-screen debut in the thriller Next. She will star as Park Ja-young, a tenacious young woman drawn into a necromancy ritual to uncover the mysteries surrounding her sister’s disappearance.
