Exciting Update for *The Outlast Trials* Announced by Red Barrels

Today, Red Barrels has thrilled horror enthusiasts with the announcement of a significant update for *The Outlast Trials* set to launch before the year’s end. This acclaimed title has garnered nominations at the Horror Game Awards for several categories, including Best Horror Game of the Year, Best Multiplayer, Most Accessible Horror Game, and Best Survival Horror Game. However, the journey for Red Barrels has not been without challenges; earlier this year, the team faced a substantial cybersecurity incident that delayed their development schedule. Fortunately, the studio is bouncing back stronger and scarier than ever with the upcoming Project Breach update.

What’s New in Project Breach?

Project Breach is poised to deliver an expansive update that introduces players to Amelia’s gripping story. This includes the unveiling of a new trial, a fresh game map, an additional Ex-Pop member, and an innovative jammer Rig, among other exciting features.

Dive into the Horrors of *The Outlast Trials*

One of the highlights of this update is the new Story Trial titled “Pleasure the Prosecutor,” which takes place on an unsettling map called Downtown. Here, players will navigate the menacing environment of Franco’s distorted cabaret, where they must manipulate the setting to their advantage while exploring the eerie depths of the theatre. Throughout this harrowing experience, players will be confronted by the ever-looming presence of the Murkoff Corporation, which ensures that the Reagents remain focused on their terrifying trials. Notably, this update marks a pivotal moment, as it offers Reagents a genuine opportunity to escape from the oppressive institution that has imprisoned them.

Unraveling Amelia’s Story

Amelia’s backstory has been teased in the latest chapter of *The Murkoff Collections*, revealing her conscious decision to join Murkoff’s sinister program in pursuit of another Reagent. Along her journey, she is resolved to dismantle Easterman and obliterate the Sinyala Facility, setting the stage for a gripping narrative arc.

Additional Features and Seasonal Events

Beyond the core content, the Project Breach update introduces a new ending that transports players to The Republic of Congo, alongside fresh MK-Challenges designed for engagement, such as reuniting a nuclear family and defacing Futtermans. In celebration of the winter season, a limited-time holiday event named Winter Kills will also be available, with more details forthcoming.

Release Information

The eagerly awaited *The Outlast Trials: Project Breach* update is set to be released on December 10 and will be available across multiple platforms, including Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation, and Xbox.
