Thurkettle took to social media to express his astonishment at the lack of prior communication from HoYoVerse and Sound Cadence Studios regarding this change.

Nicholas Thurkettle provided the voice for Von Lycaon since the game’s launch in July 2024. As an essential character in the game, Von Lycaon is classified as a Victoria Housekeeping Ice unit and stands out as one of the few male S-rank units. His design is reminiscent of a wolf, reflecting his background as a member of the Thiren race. Thurkettle mentioned that he hadn’t been in contact with the game’s developers since October 2024.
