CBS’ Survivor, one of the channel’s most enduring reality shows, debuted in 2000. Episode 3 of Survivor 47, titled Belly of the Beast, aired on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 8 PM ET/PT. This episode followed the elimination of Terran “TK”Foster, who was voted out against Sue. Before the episode began, the Tuku and Gata tribes each had five members, while all six of the Lavo team members remained intact.

After the elimination of TK, 16 contestants continue their journey on the show. The Gata tribe consists of Andy Rueda, Anika Dhar, Rachel LaMont, Sam Phalen, and Sierra Wright. The Tuku tribe members include Caroline Vidmar, Gabe Ortis, Kyle Ostawald, Sue Smey, and Tiyana Hallums. From the Lavo tribe, Aysha Welch, Genevieve Mushaluk, Kishan Patel, Rome Cooney, Solomon Yi, and Teeny Chirichillo are still in the game.

In this episode, a boat arrives at the three beaches, inviting one contestant from each tribe to participate in a game for a competitive advantage. Aysha turns down Teeny’s attempt to stay in the majority alliance, which could be detrimental to her future in the game.

Hosted and produced by Jeff Probst, Survivor offers a grand prize of $1 million to the last remaining contestant.

What occurred in Episode 3 of Survivor 47?

Following the tribal council, Gabe mentioned that he had seen too many players leave the game with an idol still in their possession, so he decided to use his. Kyle had previously attempted to target Sue for elimination due to concerns over potential retaliation.

The Gata tribe awoke the next day after a restless night. Sam intended to utilize the fishing gear strategically, ensuring their tribe could procure food while others focused on improving their shelter. Meanwhile, Andy observed tension between Sam and Anika, which he believed could benefit him in securing support for future votes.

Within the Lavo tribe, Rome monopolized the fishing gear and was enthusiastic about catching food, although his teammates were not fond of his attitude. Rome expressed frustration at the lack of assistance he received while cleaning the fish and intentionally ate a large portion in front of Aysha as a taunt.

Andy sought to align with Sierra to secure a majority in the tribe. Gabe voiced concerns over Kyle’s intentions, hoping to maintain him in the game for the guaranteed vote. They planned to oust Tiyana, viewing Sue and Caroline as advantageous allies who would bolster Gabe’s vote count.

However, Kyle was not pleased with the decision to go against Tiyana and informed the three women, which frustrated Sue, who aimed to maintain a positive atmosphere within the tribe.

Subsequently, three boats arrived at the beaches, inviting one representative from each tribe. Kyle from Tuku, Anika from Gata, and Rome from Lavo were selected for the challenge.

The players had to choose from three bags: one held an advantage while the others contained a Lose Your Vote penalty. Kyle and Anika both suffered the Lose Your Vote penalty and opted not to risk another loss. Meanwhile, Rome secured a Steal a Vote advantage that would allow him to vote twice instead of another contestant.

Anika and Rome concealed their game results from their tribes. Rome later confided in Teeny, who felt that she, Kishan, Genevieve, and Rome should form an alliance. In the following challenge, the three tribes competed for immunity and rewards such as tarps and hammocks.

Rachel and Anika emerged victorious for the Gata tribe, resulting in the Lavo tribe facing tribal council. Amidst the internal tribe dynamics, Rome suggested Aysha’s name for elimination, a proposal that Teeny had anticipated but opposed.

Rome reassured Solomon of his place in the game, while Kishan and Teeny urged Aysha to vote against Solomon to align with the majority. Despite appreciating their honesty, Aysha remained committed to voting for Genevieve. After the tribal council, Rome declared he would use his idol for his protection. When the votes were revealed, Aysha had the majority against her and was voted out, expressing that her exit “really hurts.”
