Reasons Behind Travis Mullen’s Restraining Order Against Meghan Mullen on The Real Housewives of Orange County

The Real Housewives of Orange County (RHOC) is a popular reality television series that debuted in 2006, spotlighting the affluent lifestyles of women in Orange County, California. Known for its blend of luxury, intrigue, and relatable drama, the show has garnered a substantial audience. One prominent figure in the current season 18 cast is Gina Kirschenheiter. Her boyfriend, Travis Mullen, initiated a restraining order against his ex-wife, Meghan Mullen, in August 2018.

Travis’s legal action claimed that Meghan consistently harassed and intimidated him. In his petition, submitted in March 2017, he expressed serious concerns for his and their children’s safety due to Meghan’s escalating behavior.

Details of the Agreement Between The Real Housewives of Orange County Star Travis Mullen and Ex-Wife Meghan Mullen

As per court documents from UniCourt, spanning from March 2017 to April 2024, Travis Mullen and Meghan Mullen have come to an agreement that effectively voids the initial temporary restraining order given to Travis. A crucial aspect of this arrangement mandates that neither party shall be under the influence of non-prescription drugs or illegal substances.

Furthermore, they must ensure the physical custody of their minor children remains intact. Meghan has also consented to undergo a drug test within six hours if requested by Travis, who will cover the fees for these tests. This clause will be in effect for one year and is designed to prioritize their children’s safety during parental supervision.

Should Meghan fail a drug test, her physical custody rights would be immediately revoked, and she would be required to reimburse Travis for the drug screening costs.

Another significant aspect of their agreement focuses on communication. Both Travis and Meghan have committed to limiting their communication strictly to matters concerning their children. All exchanges must occur through a court-sanctioned app, and neither party is allowed to make negative comments about the other or allow others to do so.

The agreement emphasizes mutual respect and non-threatening behavior while interacting in front of their children, fostering a nurturing atmosphere for their kids. Meghan is also prohibited from referencing Travis on any social media platforms or soliciting third parties to do the same.

Reasons Behind Travis’s Request for a Restraining Order

Travis Mullen sought the restraining order due to alleged ongoing harassment from Meghan. He accused her of making threats to harm him if he did not fulfill her demands.

Travis reportedly asserted that Meghan approached his residence, prompting him to call the police, and that she posted multiple derogatory remarks about him and Gina Kirschenheiter on social media. In his petition, he stated that the restraining order was vital for the safety of himself and his children.

He expressed fears that without protective measures, Meghan would continue her harassment and pose a risk to him and the kids. Meghan, on the other hand, refuted these allegations, stating her presence in Travis’s neighborhood was related to their children attending school in the vicinity.

Legal Proceedings Overview

The temporary restraining order was authorized in August 2023 despite Meghan’s objections. Importantly, the order only protected Travis and did not extend to Gina from The Real Housewives of Orange County. This temporary order was subsequently dismissed when both parties agreed to a new arrangement sanctioned by a judge.
