This edition invites participants to embark on a social experiment centered around finding love by fostering emotional connections inside specially designed pods. A standout participant from the first season is Asma, a 33-year-old marketing manager and entrepreneur. In the pod experience, Asma discovered a connection with Khatab, forming a deep emotional bond. Yet, when the moment of truth arrived on their wedding day, Asma surprised everyone by refusing to say “I do.”

In the ninth episode, Asma explained her decision to decline at the altar, emphasizing her desire for her parents’ consent before marrying Khatab. She reassured Khatab that her refusal was not a rejection of him personally, but rather a reflection of her wish for her parents to meet him and become acquainted before giving their blessing.

During a candid interview segment, Asma discussed the pivotal reason behind her decision at the wedding. She expressed how challenging it felt to walk down the aisle without her parents by her side. Asma articulated her understanding of her parents’ view in wanting ample time to get to know Khatab before approving of their union. She shared with the cameras:

“Without my parents present, it felt incredibly difficult, and I need their blessing. I held onto hope that they would approve. I acknowledge their feelings and wish to give them the time they need to understand Khatab and to meet him.”

Later in the episode, Asma and Khatab had an important conversation. Asma reaffirmed to Khatab that her parents’ support holds great significance for her. She continued:

“Honestly, if we had the time to proceed according to our traditions, my ‘no’ wasn’t about you. It was about our wedding today. That’s the reality; I felt I had no other choice.”

Khatab acknowledged her perspective and reassured Asma that their next step would involve respecting cultural customs and formally meeting her father to ask for his blessing. Asma elaborated on how meaningful this would be to her dad:
