Ready or Not Sells 2 Million Console Copies Within 2 Weeks

Ready or Not Achieves Massive Console Sales Milestone

Launch excitement continues for VOID Interactive’s tactical shooter, Ready or Not, which made its way to console platforms just 15 days ago. In a remarkable debut, the game sold over 1 million copies within the first four days on both the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, pushing the total sales figure to an impressive 10 million across all platforms, including PC. Following this strong start, an additional million copies were sold in the subsequent 11 days, bringing the astounding two-week total to 2 million on consoles and 11 million since its original PC launch.

“First, thank you to the players – for showing up, playing hard, and bringing order to chaos, ”said Julio Rodriguez, CEO of VOID Interactive, in a recent LinkedIn post celebrating this achievement.“Next, to the VOID dev team for building what we believe is the quintessential tactical FPS of our era — and to our friends and partners for helping us bring RON to console.”

A Mixed Response from the Community

While the console launch has been met with enthusiasm, not all feedback has been positive. Many players within the PC community have expressed disappointment regarding the recent console updates, which included changes that they found unsatisfactory. Among the most notable concerns raised is the perception of “censorship”associated with these modifications.

Evidence of discontent can be observed in the reviews on Steam, where numerous players have engaged in what is known as “review bombing, ”voicing their frustration. Another aspect of the player base’s dissatisfaction stems from claims of a “downgrade” in graphical quality to ensure parity with the console versions.

Looking Ahead

As the situation unfolds, it will be interesting to see how VOID Interactive addresses these grievances in the coming weeks. Will they initiate changes to appease their loyal PC players? Only time will tell whether the studio will make any substantial revisions to the game based on player feedback.
