Ready or Not Achieves Major Milestone with Over 3 Million Console Units Sold
VOID Interactive has made headlines with the announcement that their inaugural game, Ready or Not, has successfully sold over three million units on consoles. This remarkable achievement comes just weeks after its console launch on July 15 for Sony’s PlayStation 5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Series S|X, during which the game celebrated a phenomenal two million units sold within the first two weeks alone.
Overall Sales Surge In total, Ready or Not has reached an impressive threshold of 13 million units sold, with approximately 10 million of those sales occurring on PC. The game initially gained traction during a two-year early access period on this platform, establishing a solid reputation among gamers. Furthermore, cross-play functionality allows players on different platforms to team up seamlessly.
Visual Changes Spark Controversy Among Players
Despite its success, the game has recently faced backlash within the PC community. This controversy arose following the implementation of specific content adjustments aimed at aligning the PC version with its console counterparts. The following six visual modifications were made by VOID Interactive:
- Disabling of post-mortem dismemberment (note that dismemberment for living characters remains intact).
- In “Twisted Nerve, ”the affected character is now shown sleeping instead of convulsing.
- In “A Lethal Obsession, ”adjustments were made regarding nudity associated with the ghillie suit suspect.
- In “Hide and Seek, ”female hostages are now depicted wearing underwear.
- In “Narcos, ”the police informant hostage has also been updated to wear underwear.
- In “23 Megabytes a Second, ”the ‘Photo of Minors’ objective model has been revised for better narrative connections with the subsequent ‘Sinuous Trail’ mission.
