Ready Or Not Achieves Over 9 Million Copies Sold Before Summer Console Launch

Ready or Not Surpasses 9 Million Sales Ahead of Console Launch

Just days after VOID Interactive revealed that their acclaimed tactical first-person shooter, Ready or Not, would soon be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, the game achieved another significant milestone by selling over 9 million copies on PC.

“Our flagship tactical shooter Ready or Not is hitting a huge new milestone: We’re officially coming to PlayStation and Xbox this summer, ”stated Julio Rodriguez, CEO of VOID Interactive, in a press release.

Rodriguez further expressed, “As we approach 10 million units sold on Steam, we’re beyond excited to bring the experience to console players worldwide.”Although a specific release date for the console version has not been confirmed, it is expected to launch sometime in summer 2025.

Gameplay and Experience

Ready or Not stands apart from typical shooters by placing players in the role of a SWAT team member. The game encourages a more thoughtful approach to combat, where players aim to minimize lethal force and focus on strategic engagements rather than simply eliminating enemies.

This tactical FPS emphasizes realistic scenarios that require players to develop comprehensive strategies. Unlike conventional military shooters such as Call of Duty, where the primary objective can often be to shoot first and ask questions later, effectiveness in Ready or Not means successfully apprehending suspects while ensuring the safety of civilians.

A Journey from Early Access to Console

Originally released in early access back in 2017, Ready or Not reached its full 1.0 version in 2023 after several delays, with its initial full release scheduled for 2020. With the upcoming console launch, VOID Interactive’s extensive journey with the title is poised to advance into its next stage.

What to Expect in the Console Version

The console edition of Ready or Not will feature 20 missions playable either solo or in co-op mode with up to five players. Excitingly, two new missions tailored for the console release will also be accessible, coinciding with a free update for existing PC players.

Additionally, console players can look forward to two downloadable content (DLC) expansions that will introduce another six missions. Early adopters of the console version who pre-order will receive exclusive access to the M32A1 Grenade Launcher, MK-V Pistol, and 590M Shotgun. Notably, PC players who already possess the game will also receive these weapons in a complimentary update.
