Ray J Predicts Many Celebrities Will Be Exposed in Ongoing Diddy Scandal
Ray J has recently shared his thoughts on Diddy’s arrest during his appearance on Cuomo, alongside Angelica Nwandu, the founder of The Shade Room. The rapper was charged with serious offenses including s*x trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution on September 16.
Ray J’s comments came in response to claims made by Ariel Mitchell-Kidd, an attorney representing one of the alleged victims, who stated that Diddy appeared in a video that seemed to be p*rnographic. These allegations were made during an episode of Banfield on NewsNation on September 28, 2024.
In his latest interview, Ray J addressed the allegations regarding the p*rn video and stated:
“I’ve been around long enough to know that when there is smoke, there is usually fire.”
He indicated that more celebrities may soon be revealed in relation to their association with Diddy, adding:
“I think we will be seeing a lot of these things unfold. Many celebrities and individuals in power might step down or be exposed. This is where we currently stand. Some people have long success stories, but sometimes the fall is harder.”
Ray J emphasized that everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty, but many might not know the necessary steps to protect themselves from similar situations. He noted that some individuals are not fully aware of the precautions they can take to prevent such incidents from recurring.
Ray J’s Previous Comments on Diddy’s Arrest
Known as William Ray Norwood Jr., he had spoken on Cuomo just four days following Diddy’s arrest on September 20, 2024, discussing the repercussions of Diddy’s legal troubles within the music industry. At that time, he remarked:
“We have all looked up to him in my era. This situation is unfortunate, but it’s crucial to learn lessons and ensure the next generation moves with transparency and integrity.”
Ray J also highlighted the need for support for artists in difficult situations, noting the muted reaction from the music industry, as many are still devastated by the developments. He explained this sentiment by saying:
“Everyone is coping in their own ways.”
Additionally, Ray J acknowledged that he had attended Diddy’s parties on multiple occasions but clarified that he had never witnessed any involvement in criminal behavior, including the alleged s*x events known as Freak-Offs.
As mentioned, an attorney for one of Diddy’s alleged victims discussed a p*rn tape featuring him on Banfield. Ariel Mitchell-Kidd revealed she was contacted by an anonymous source regarding the video, which prompted her to reach out to the individual shown in the clip. She elaborated:
“The video was undeniably p*rnographic in nature. It was recorded in his Atlanta home, and it appears that the individual was unaware they were being videotaped.”
Diddy is set to appear in court on October 9, 2024, and has recently updated his legal team, incorporating attorneys Anthony Ricco and Alexandra Shapiro. The latter submitted a notice of intent to appeal for his release on September 30. Further updates are anticipated.
