“Ray J Defends Friendship with Diddy, Responds to Baby Oil Jokes and More in New Show: Is Everyone Innocent Until Proven Guilty?”
On October 8, Ray J opened up about his relationship with Sean “Diddy”Combs during the premiere episode of his new show, The Reality Check News. He addressed the serious allegations of s*x trafficking and Diddy’s recent arrest. Ray emphasized their friendship, expressing his desire to act as the “voice of reason”and reinforced the legal principle of “innocent until proven guilty.”
“Diddy has been my friend. How do you react when you haven’t seen or experienced any of the troubling things being said? Do you just accept them? Everyone is entitled to the presumption of innocence,” Ray remarked.
He also commented on the wave of jokes circulating about Diddy following reports that authorities seized 1,000 bottles of baby oil from his homes during investigations in March:
“I’ve noticed a lot of humor online regarding the baby oil situation. Are those jokes really appropriate? What message does that send?”
Ray J went on to criticize the entertainment industry, describing it as rife with individuals who exploit their power once they reach the top. He admitted to being worn out by such behavior and mentioned he has a list of names that fit this description, though he chose not to reveal them at this moment.
Ray J predicts Diddy’s legal troubles will have widespread repercussions
In a September 30 interview with News Nation, Ray J supported the theory that multiple high-profile celebrities may be implicated in Diddy’s alleged wrongdoing. Speaking with host Brian Entin, he suggested that there exists a group of influential individuals at the top who orchestrate major decisions, and when one person is exposed, the ripple effect shakes the entire structure.
“Given the current climate, where a select group dictates everything, it resembles a fragile house of cards. If one card falls, the entire structure collapses,”he stated.
Ray articulated his belief that Diddy’s arrest might cause numerous influential figures to either resign or become exposed regarding similar allegations. He raised concerns about how the industry could evolve from this situation and the types of preventive measures that should be taken in the future.
Ray J is not alone in his speculation regarding Diddy’s alleged connections to other stars. Texas attorney Tony Buzbee claimed various well-known personalities are tied to Diddy’s purported offenses. During a press conference on October 1, Buzbee disclosed that he is now representing 120 additional accusers with various claims against the artist.
In a recent interview with TMZ, the attorney alleged that some victims have named Diddy’s famous acquaintances in their accusations and noted that several celebrities have approached him seeking to resolve their cases privately, in order to sidestep public scrutiny.
Ray J claimed he was unaware of Diddy’s alleged “freak off”events
“I’ve never encountered the situations mentioned or the events that people are talking about, and I wasn’t aware they existed. It’s challenging for everyone to process where we stand now,”he explained.
He continued:
“While these are still allegations and not yet established facts, they are disturbing and confusing for many,” he remarked.
According to the indictment against Diddy, which was made public on September 17, he allegedly hosted “freak offs”where he drugged and coerced women into sexual acts with male escorts, and that evidence of such events was discovered during law enforcement raids.
Following his arrest, Diddy was held at the Metropolitan Detention Center. The New York Times reported that bail was denied due to concerns he could flee. His next court date is scheduled for October 9.
