Randy Orton opens up about one particular regret of his WWE career

Despite captivating audiences with his exceptional talent in the ring, Randy Orton was a controversial figure in the early years of his wrestling career. While his in-ring abilities were praised, his behavior behind the scenes was often criticized.

Of course, in his younger days, the former WWE Champion made numerous mistakes. As he prepares for the 2024 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, Randy Orton has opened up about his greatest career regret.

In 2005, Cowboy Bob Orton Jr. was nominated for the WWE Hall of Fame and selected his son, Randy, to induct him into the prestigious club. In a recent episode of WWE Evil, the former Evolution member revealed that he did not have a prepared speech for the event due to spending the previous night with some questionable acquaintances.

Despite his efforts to speak from the heart, the renowned wrestler admitted that he was unable to do justice to his father.

“I had not come up with a speech. I spoke from the heart, but I didn’t do my father justice. That look of disappointment on my father’s face. If I have any regrets as far as my career goes, that’s probably it!”said Randy Orton.

Is it time for Randy Orton to reclaim the US Championship and redeem WWE’s past mistake?

In 2018, at the Fastlane Premium Live Event, Randy Orton won his first United States Championship by defeating Bobby Roode with a pinfall victory. Unfortunately, this match and Orton’s reign are often forgotten, as it ended just a month later at WrestleMania 34.

In February, Randy became involved in the ongoing feud between Kevin Owens and Logan Paul. During the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match in Perth, Australia, The Maverick interfered and caused Orton to lose his chance at the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania XL, as he was eliminated by The Viper.

Despite recently forming a new tag team partnership, The Prizefighter and The Apex Predator will be competing against each other at WrestleMania XL. The question remains: will Orton continue his streak of winning titles at The Show of Shows this weekend? Only time will reveal the answer!
