The life of a detective in RAIDOU Remastered extends beyond detective work and summoning demons. While players gather clues and confine demons to enrich their Devil Chart recipes, daunting foes are sure to challenge their skills.
In the realm of JRPGs, boss battles serve as the pinnacle of combat experience. These encounters offer a platform for players to transition from routine “Attack”commands used against minor enemies to showcasing tactical prowess and character development.
Although I wouldn’t call myself the most skilled action RPG player, I take pride in my ability to build effective characters. My strategy in RAIDOU Remastered revolves around enhancing my demons, allowing them to carry the weight of the battle while I maintain a supportive role.
Yet, despite engaging in countless demon fusions and strategy discussions, I faced significant challenges against several bosses. In this article, I will outline the ten most difficult bosses encountered in RAIDOU Remastered, ranked according to their difficulty level.
Spoilers are contained in some sections below.
10. Gashadokuro
A Pivotal Introduction

Serving as the first major boss, Gashadokuro acts as a tutorial for new mechanics. Initially, I struggled with the challenge, learning to navigate the need to jump and dodge attacks while also protecting my demons.
Players can pull demons close using L3 (or an equivalent button) to prevent damage, yet this halts their independent actions. This technique is crucial for avoiding damage from attacks that demons cannot evade unaided. Balancing maneuverability with protection was overwhelming, leading to instances where I would inadvertently neglect my demons or myself—often resulting in defeat.
Despite these hurdles, Gashadokuro remains the least challenging of the bosses. As the introductory encounter, it sets the stage for the trials to come, albeit with mechanics that may surprise players unaccustomed to multitasking during fights.
9. Ichimokuren
The Initial Game Over

Ichimokuren marked my first game over in RAIDOU Remastered. Initially, it shields its eyes and summons minions, transforming the fight into a test of endurance. Once I eliminate its aides, the real challenge starts as the boss enters a frenzied state.
Ichimokuren’s spinning assault quickly eradicates players who aren’t prepared, and my earlier strategy of protecting my demons while dodging attacks became ineffective. A eureka moment arrived mid-fight, as I discovered that pressing the jump button repeatedly allowed for a double jump, a mechanic that evaded my notice until desperation took over.
Once armed with this newfound skill, the rest of the encounter became manageable; however, my earlier struggles served as a reminder of the game’s learning curve.
8. Red Cape
A Dynamic Encounter

By chapter two, I had honed my skills in demon summoning and detective work, yet Red Cape introduced unexpected challenges with novel mechanics. Facing Red Cape multiple times before the definitive boss battle creates a false sense of security.
Initially straightforward, the battle escalated as Red Cape unleashed devastating energy attacks that required precise dodging. Each time I successfully avoided damage, a momentary reprieve allowed for powerful counters.
During specific phases, Red Cape becomes untargetable while hurling vehicles at players. While the dodge mechanics are relatively simple, the aftermath of the explosions can lead to disastrous consequences if players are caught off guard.
7. Rasputin
A Historical Challenge

Rasputin, known historically for his enigmatic life, emerges as a Dark Summoner in RAIDOU Remastered. He employs Matryoshka dolls to shield himself in battle.
Players must dismantle these dolls to reveal Rasputin, who brings about a protracted fight characterized by his resilience. His defenses become increasingly overwhelming as bomb-carrying dolls join the fray.
Moreover, Rasputin’s mid-battle dialogue adds layers to the encounter. My potent Spirit Slash attack met roadblocks due to mandatory interactions, preventing me from fully utilizing my abilities and prolonging the struggle.
6. Hitokotonushi
The Shape-Shifting Challenge

Although Hitokotonushi presents annoyance rather than pure difficulty, its disruptive mechanics warrant its placement on this list. Initially appearing as a trivial entity, it quickly adopts a flight pattern reminiscent of a flying demon, evading straightforward attacks.
As the battle progresses, Hitokotonushi transforms into a bird and later into a beast, each time adapting its attacks and weaknesses for players to navigate. The frequent changes necessitate spell swapping, adding complexity to an otherwise straightforward encounter.
In its final form, Hitokotonushi becomes a baby demon, an unexpected shift that requires players to recalibrate their strategies once again. Because, let’s be honest, battling a “baby”demon isn’t as comedic as it sounds.
5. Abihiko & Nagasunehiko
A Brotherly Duo

Engaging in a dual boss fight in RAIDOU Remastered compounds the challenges. The game’s lock-on system can be unpredictable, causing spells to miss their intended targets.
Both Abihiko and Nagasunehiko initiate devastating joint attacks reminiscent of Ichimokuren’s special move, albeit with greater intensity and difficulty in executing a successful dodge.
After facing their combined assault, players must pivot strategically, as defeating one of the brothers supercharges the other, resulting in a frantic barrage of attacks that can overwhelm even the most adept players.
4. Tokoyogami Sukuna-Hikona
Deceptively Simple

Sukuna-Hikona initially appears to be an easy target, being weak to elemental damage despite his resistance to physical attacks. Armed with my most powerful demons, I unleashed an array of spells upon him—but tranquility was fleeting.
As the battle progressed, Sukuna-Hikona exhibited newfound abilities that stunned my team and unleashed ruinous energy blasts capable of swiftly eliminating my demons. Strategic judgment became vital in capitalizing on moments of vulnerability.
Eventually, I adapted to his deceptive tactics and secured victory, yet not without a substantial toll on my progress and finely honed strategies.
3. Mishaguji
A Charming Distraction

Mishaguji proved to be one of the most formidable bosses, primarily due to its abuse of negative status effects. While dodging its straightforward physical attacks felt manageable, it consistently afflicted my party with debilitating conditions.
Upon losing half of its health, Mishaguji transitioned to unleashing cursed bolts that charmed my demons, turning my allies into adversaries. The chaos compounded as additional minions joined the fray, all while I struggled to reclaim my party’s integrity.
This fight often necessitated resetting, as I struggled to deal with the overwhelming onslaught of effects while restoring my overall strategy.
2. Raidou XL
A Personal Duel

The penultimate battle with Raidou XL forced me to adopt a new strategy—one that involved direct combat. With my supportive playstyle stripped away, I learned the hard way that surviving a 1v1 was far different from being assisted by my demons.
Raidou XL’s evasive maneuvers kept her out of reach while delivering bone-crushing counters, transforming my attempts at offense into a struggle for survival. Intermittent prompts to use a Devil’s Bane added significant pressure, as failing to react promptly resulted in devastating retaliation.
Numerous defeats preceded my eventual success, compelling me to sharpen my skills and embrace the challenge of this climactic confrontation.
1. Soulless God Yasomagatsu
The Ultimate Chaos

In keeping with the tradition of JRPGs, the final boss, Yasomagatsu, boasts multiple forms, with the final encounter amplifying the challenge dramatically. This phase embodies a synthesis of mechanics encountered throughout the game, creating a chaotic battleground where timing and strategic execution are paramount.
Chaos reigns as players contend with overlapping mechanics, compelling them to respond to immediate threats while attempting to recover MAG and manage HP. Success in attacking equates to vulnerability, making strategic planning essential in navigating this relentless encounter.
Ultimately, Yasomagatsu stands as the most challenging opponent I’ve faced. The question remains whether this heightened difficulty was a deserved climax or an artificial enhancement for the final showdown. Regardless, players should come fully prepared, equipped with recovery items, and ready to confront their potential within this thrilling conclusion.
