Recently, Quincy Brown, the son of singer Al B Sure, spoke out about his biological mother Kim Porter and his adoptive father Diddy. This discourse arose following Diddy’s arrest.
The comments from Quincy and Diddy’s children came in response to the circulating “conspiracy theories”about Porter’s 2018 death, as well as the ongoing speculation regarding their parents’ relationship.
In a September 25 article from Billboard, Christian Combs, Jessie, D’Lila Combs, and Quincy Brown, who is both Kim and Al B’s biological son and Diddy’s adopted son, took to Instagram on Tuesday, September 24. They aimed to dispel the rumors surrounding their mother’s death and her involvement with Diddy, especially in light of the rapper’s recent legal troubles.
However, after the statement and a video featuring Diddy alongside his “adopted daughter” Eva Combs and Quincy went viral, Al B Sure shared his thoughts on Instagram, suggesting that Quincy may be experiencing Stockholm Syndrome, captioning it with “#FreeQuincy.”
Sure’s post quickly made its way to The Shade Room’s Instagram, and various users rushed to the comments to defend Quincy while criticizing Al B Sure as a “deadbeat father.” One commenter remarked:
Many others echoed this sentiment.
Conversely, some individuals defended Al B and criticized Diddy along with the video.
Quincy and Diddy’s Other Kids Speak Out on Kim Porter’s Passing
Al B Sure recently suggested that Quincy might be enduring Stockholm Syndrome after Quincy released a statement defending Diddy and his mother, asserting that the rampant rumors about her death are merely “false”and “hurtful.”
According to Billboard, Quincy and his siblings stated:
“We have seen so many hurtful and false rumors circulating about our parents, Kim Porter and Sean Combs’ relationship, as well as about our mom’s tragic passing, that we feel the need to speak out.”
The children also condemned a supposed memoir titled *Kim’s Lost Words: A Journey for Justice From the Other Side*, asserting that it was not authored by Porter and that anyone presenting it as her work is being dishonest.
They further urged everyone to recognize that a person posing as a “friend”advocating for their mother or family isn’t genuinely concerned for her well-being.
The statement then continued with a heartfelt message:
“Our lives were shattered when we lost our mother…. While it has been incredibly difficult to reconcile how she could be taken from us too soon, the cause of her death has long been established. There was no foul play…”
In conclusion, the four children of Diddy called on everyone to honor their mother and uphold her legacy so that she can finally rest in peace. They finished their message with:
“It’s what she deserves. We love you and miss you Mommy. Quincy, Christian, Jessie & D’Lila.”
This statement follows the tragic passing of Kim Porter, which was initially shared on social media by her ex-husband Al B Sure. In a post on September 23, Sure urged authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.
In his post, Sure expressed,
“For over a decade and a half, I’ve been posting about, and tagging random law enforcement agencies in hopes to protect loved ones, avoid deaths & tragedies that could have all been avoided.”
Moreover, Al B and Quincy have historically had a strained relationship. In 2009, Quincy publicly expressed gratitude to Diddy for his presence in his life while criticizing Al B Sure for his absence during his upbringing.
As Al B Sure shared the video on his Instagram story, social media users rapidly reacted to the unfolding situation.
However, Quincy has not yet addressed Al B Sure’s comments.
