Reports show that users are gradually regaining connectivity, though some are still experiencing difficulties. Following a significant service disruption that started on February 7, Sony has remained largely silent regarding the incident.

Issues first came to light around 6:00 PM Eastern on February 7, as players experienced difficulty accessing Sony’s online services. Many were unable to log into multiplayer games or those requiring online verification, leading to widespread dissatisfaction. In the hours following the outage, Sony acknowledged the situation via a statement, announcing an investigation but offering no specific insights into the cause, which understandably fueled user frustration.

As of the latest updates, PSN connectivity is slowly recovering, although full access remains inconsistent. According to PushSquare, while some users have successfully logged back into the network, others are still reporting issues. Many affected players are encountering the WS-116449-5 error code, indicative of general network problems, and certain features of PSN may still be unavailable until the service is completely restored. NetEase Games, creators of Marvel Rivals, confirmed that players on PS5 might have trouble accessing the game amid these network complications. They assured users that notifications will be issued once PSN service levels return to normal.
