PS Plus Extra and Premium Game Catalogs August 2025: Mortal Kombat 1, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, and More Titles Added

PlayStation Plus August 2025 Game Catalog Revealed

In an exciting update, PlayStation has unveiled the new titles that will be added to the PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium game catalogs for August 2025. Leading the lineup are Mortal Kombat 1 and Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, two major titles among the 11 total games available this month across both subscription tiers.

Interesting to note is that while Premium subscribers will benefit from 12 titles, the additional title is merely a game trial for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. This trial allows players access for only five hours, thus it is not a full addition to the catalog, as players must purchase the game to continue their adventure afterward.

New Day-One Release and Exciting Additions

Among the fresh game offerings is a day-one release, Sword of the Sea, launching on August 19 and included in the PS Plus Extra catalog. Developed by the creative team behind Journey, this title was recently showcased in a State of Play event, hinting at an intriguing gameplay experience.

Those with a PS5 will enjoy the benefits of the native remaster of Marvel’s Spider-Man, while PS4 users will receive the Game of the Year Edition that encompasses all previously released DLC.
