We’ve been getting little updates on the status of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 for a couple of months now. The sequel is due to be unveiled later this month at Star Wars Celebration, but it will be releasing Fallen Order. ‘ from the name of the game. According to reports, the game will be called Star Wars Jedi: Survivor instead.
Jeff Grubb, the reporter who’s been putting out little info on the sequel for months, recently updated us again during the livestream , revealing that the new game won’t be called “Fallen Order 2”. Instead, it will be called Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, a name that seems fitting given the events of the first game.
If you’ve played Fallen Order, then the sequel’s new title makes sense, as the protagonist, Cal, is now on the radar of the Sith Empire and the Inquisitors will be more aggressive in pursuing him. While we don’t officially know much about the sequel at this point, we may also see Cal run into other Jedi who have been in hiding since Order 66 and the rise of the Empire.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is due to be unveiled during the Star Wars Celebration starting May 26th. With the game set to release in 2023, Respawn is expected to end support for the latest generation of consoles and focus exclusively on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5.
