Princess Peach: Showtime! – How to Solve Detective Peach’s First Case

The latest installment in the franchise, Princess Peach: Showtime!, finally allows the Mushroom Kingdom’s ruler to showcase her own heroism and break free from the stereotypical damsel in distress role. Despite being targeted towards younger players, there are some aspects of the game that may prompt inquiries, and we are ready to provide assistance!

Although the majority of Princess Peach: Showtime! is fairly straightforward, the game also includes Detective Peach stages that are designed as classic adventure game mysteries. These sections may be challenging for younger players, and even their parents may need to be called in for assistance when they become confused. To provide support, we have put together a guide on how to successfully complete the first Detective Peach stage, titled “The Case of the Missing Mural”.

To obtain the Detective Peach transformation, you must first solve a puzzle. Interact with the symbols on the bookcase in the specified order to reveal a hidden passageway. Then, use the “Strike of Intuition”feature (activated by pressing B while facing an NPC or item and holding B again) to locate the Junior Detective, who will be hiding under some pillows. Be careful not to accuse anyone without evidence, as it will result in losing a life.

Upon obtaining the Detective transformation, you will head to the museum where the Sour Bunch Gang has stolen a valuable mural under the cover of darkness. Interacting with NPCs in the vicinity will provide clues, but the ultimate solution is to enter the leftmost room and interact with the crookedly hanging picture.

To reach the next section of the museum, you will need to enter the vent located behind the picture. Your objective is to locate a pair of members from the Sour Bunch Gang. You have the option to gather clues by asking others, or you can use our assistance to quickly find the answer – the first person to approach is the police officer with the camera who is stationed near the concession stand.

The middle statue is also found in the same room as mentioned above.

After successfully apprehending the criminals, you may be wondering where the mural you’ve been searching for is located. To find it, you will need to revisit the initial set of rooms. Speak to the man seated on the stool and he will move, allowing you to take the stool with you.

Move the stool close to the window, then use it to climb up and engage with the window.

Upon hearing the rustling of a nearby curtain, I went to investigate and was surprised to find that the mural had been there all along.

And with that, the initial Detective Peach mystery has been resolved!
