Intel’s 13th and 14th generation processors are experiencing notable price increases, following the company’s recent announcement concerning price hikes within the Japanese market. This shift comes as consumers continue to prefer older Raptor Lake and Raptor Lake Refresh CPUs over newer offerings, indicating a fluctuating demand and pricing environment.

Sharp Price Surge for Intel Core i5 14400F: Now 23, 780 Yen (US$155)

The Intel Core i5 14400F, one of the frontrunners among budget-friendly 14th-gen CPUs, has seen its price swell from approximately 19, 800 Yen last month to a striking 23, 780 Yen in October—a remarkable increase of 20%. The model featuring integrated graphics, the Core i5 14400, also recorded a price rise of 11% compared to September.

Even more significant adjustments were noted for the Core i5 14600KF, where the price escalated from 30, 000 Yen to 34, 000 Yen, marking a 9% jump. Such hikes illustrate the increasing demand as the Raptor Lake series remains a popular choice for budget-conscious consumers.

Moreover, the Core i3 14100 has undergone a price increase of around 10%. While the Core i3 14100F has not seen substantial changes yet, expectations suggest that its price may eventually catch up to that of the 14100 model.

High-End CPUs: Price Trends and Supply Issues

Turning to the high-end processors, both the Core i7 14700K and 14700KF have seen moderate price increases; however, these changes are less pronounced compared to budget and mid-range models. The Core i9 14900K and KF variants, on the other hand, have remained relatively stable in price.
