Prajanchai explains decision to pursue two-sport glory vs. Jonathan Di Bella: “I’m looking for new challenges”

Prajanchai will join the ranks of fighters attempting to achieve dual-sport world champion status at ONE Friday Fights 58 in ONE Championship.

At ONE Friday Fights 46 in December, he solidified his dominance in the strawweight division by defeating Joseph Lasiri and avenging his previous loss against him.

After resolving this score, he is determined to begin a fresh chapter in his career by competing for the kickboxing gold at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium on April 5.

Instead of having a personal issue with Jonathan Di Bella, the seasoned Thai striker sought something to inspire him. Embracing Di Bella’s realm and challenging another champion was precisely the motivation he needed to invigorate his career at this point.

Prajanchai explained to ONE Championship his reasons for accepting this fight and his motivation behind it.

“I have had more than 500 Muay Thai fights, so I needed a new challenge. Fighting in small gloves in ONE provided the challenge I needed, but it was just temporary. So, I’m looking for new challenges in kickboxing.”

Prajanchai’s Experience Will Be the Deciding Factor in This Fight

Despite his transition into kickboxing, it is widely anticipated that Prajanchai will continue to excel and give his utmost performance at ONE Friday Fights 58.

Despite Muay Thai being his primary skill, his extensive experience accumulated over the years will allow him to easily transfer his abilities to kickboxing.

On the flip side, Jonathan Di Bella possesses impressive skills, although his record may not immediately reflect this.

Claiming victory over a fellow champion such as the PK Saenchai Muay Thai Gym star would undoubtedly be considered his most noteworthy accomplishment and a remarkable addition to his title reign.

ONE Friday Fights 58 will be broadcasted live in Asia during primetime through global PPV on watch.onefc.com.
