Prajanchai admits confidence not at its peak ahead of Jonathan Di Bella tiff: “He has a lot more advantages”
Despite his previous confidence in his ability to emerge victorious, Prajanchai PK Saenchai is now uncertain about his chances in his upcoming fight against current ONE strawweight kickboxing world champion Jonathan Di Bella. The match will take place as the co-headliner of ONE Friday Fights 58 on April 5.
This battle between champion and champion will take place at the renowned Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, where Di Bella will defend his 26-pound golden belt. Prajanchai is unsure if he will be able to defeat the Canadian-Italian champion.
In a recent interview with Sportsmanor, the 29-year-old Thai discussed the obstacles that will impede his goal of becoming a two-sport world champion, stating:
“My confidence was building up all the way into that Joseph Lasiri fight and it was at [full effect] in that fight. For now, I wouldn’t say my confidence is at 100 percent yet, because considering Jonathan Di Bella is very good, and I’m considering myself as an underdog. If you look at me, physically and the familiarity of the rules, I feel he has a lot more advantages over me.”

Prajanchai’s undefeated streak in ONE Championship continues as he recently avenged his previous loss to rival Joseph Lasiri at ONE Friday Fights 46 in December 2023. He secured a first-round knockout against the Italian-Morrocan, adding to his impressive four-fight win streak.
In October 2023, Di Bella successfully defended his world title for the first time at ONE Fight Night 15 with a unanimous decision victory over Danial Williams.

Despite his doubts about the upcoming battle with Di Bella, Prajanchai remains determined to attain the historic two-sport world title status. He believes that achieving this status is personally significant to him.
