The first Purple Ranger made their debut in Power Rangers Jungle Fury as Robert “RJ”James, who assumed the role of the Wolf Ranger. Following him, Power Rangers Dino Charge featured two characters, Albert Smith and Kendall Morgan, who both temporarily held the Purple Ranger title, joining the team after its initial formation.

Within the comic narrative, the character Ellarien takes on the mantle of the Purple Solar Ranger. As the team’s leader, Ellarien becomes the second character to embody this title after breaking her Solarix, which empowers the rest of her team.
