The themes of “I Had Some Help”resonate well with the movie’s narrative, highlighting the values of friendship and collaboration.
In the post, extraposty stated:
“Teamwork makes the dream work. Listen to ‘I Had Some Help’ by Post Malone x Morgan Wallen in #Venom: The Last Dance, premiering in theaters this Thursday.”
“I Had Some Help”Climbs the Charts
Released on May 10, 2024, “I Had Some Help”marks Post Malone’s official debut in country music. The upbeat track, enhanced by a pop-influenced Nashville sound, features Morgan Wallen alongside vibrant guitar and drum lines.
In this energetic song, the duo confronts their former partners, challenging the false narratives that arose from their broken relationships and emphasizing that both had roles to play in their dynamics.
One of the standout verses goes:
“You thought I’d take the blame for us a-crumbling/ Go ’round like you ain’t guilty of somethin’/ Already lost the game that you been runnin’/ Guess it’s catchin’ up to you, huh/ You think that you’re so innocent,”
The verse continues:
“After all the sh*t you did/ I ain’t an angel, you ain’t heaven-sent/ Can’t wash our hands of this,”
This catchy hit serves as the lead single from Post Malone’s debut country album, “F-1 Trillion,”which was released on August 16, 2024. “I Had Some Help”quickly soared to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, achieving the highest rates of weekly sales and streams since 2020.
The song proudly holds the title of the second-longest-charting number one of 2024, maintaining its position for six weeks, albeit non-consecutively, just behind Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy).”
This track also made history by debuting at number one on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard’s Hot Country Songs charts simultaneously, remaining in the top spot for its first five weeks on both platforms.
Moreover, “I Had Some Help”debuted at the pinnacle of the Billboard Global 200 lists and performed exceptionally well in Canada, Norway, Australia, and Ireland.
The song has been recognized with two nominations for the MTV Video Music Awards and captured the People’s Choice Award 2024 for Song of the Year.
Additionally, “I Had Some Help”is vying for four awards at the upcoming Country Music Association Awards.
As reported by Collider, “Venom: The Last Dance,”the concluding chapter of the successful Venom film franchise, will hit theaters on October 25, 2024, before becoming available on streaming services later on.
